Melting Pot Madness – Robi Creates

Standard

I blame my friend Gaby for getting me interested in the whole melting-pot thing. I have been experimenting a LOT and so far I haven’t blown up anything or melted anything that I did not intend to melt.

I have been using UTEE and mixing it with various colours of embossing powders, including glittery and chunky: I also added fine gold glitter to the pot.

I have gone from pouring the liquid onto a mat and pressing a stamp into it to pouring molds and creating embellishments and pins! (in just 2 days).

The variations in colour is achieved by any of the following: embossing powder, glitter, and/or alcohol ink applied to the cooled mold.

What did I use? UTEE and a melting pot (Ranger), embossing powders in gold and lavender  fine gold glitter, rubber stamps, Stazon ink, Glossy Accents, Ranger inks

I think they are so pretty. I find mixing the colours and varying the stamps is very exciting.

Birthday Card Guys Will Like, Too

Standard

I wanted to take advantage of the ‘Fall’ colours but not make something ‘seasonal’ because I don’t really have a demand for Halloween or Thanksgiving-themed cards.
Here is my take on a neutral card using the beautiful umbers, bronze, copper, and pumpkin families.

What was involved?
Cardstock –WAMK pumpkin 12″ square folded in quarters
Mosaic – I used the NEGATIVE from a gold ‘Peel-Offs‘ design.  While it was still on the backing paper, I stamped it with moss green Studio G ink and then used Melt Art (Suze Weinberg)Ultra Thick Embossing  Enamel to give it the glossy and burnished look.  I totally LOVE how it turned out.

Sentiment and border decals (Peel-Offs).
Butterfly embellishment – plain chipboard (punched), butterfly stamp(taken from larger Inkadinkado stamp and applied with Black StazOn. Butterfly coloured with Faber-Castell PITT artist pen big brush (Dark Naples ochre) and gold PITT artist pen.
I used the same embossing powder (3 dips). Edges of chip board are accented with Tsukineko Brilliance Pigment Ink (Cosmic Copper).
Tape is 7 Gypsies.
Corner punch – Martha Stewart
Chalks and Rangers Distress Ink to shade the card stock.

I hope you like my latest creation!
