A rebel-rousing hour was had by all.   Thank you to everyone who came out to the live webcast!
Synopsis:

We brainstormed SO many amazing ideas.  I love the effects I could get from the Xrays.

For my demo du jour, I showed how to make an ‘exploding book’ or ‘squash book’. Here are a few pics:

Exploding Book Journal

 I haven’t made one of these books in a long time but it was so much fun.  Exploding books are also known as ‘Squash books’, ‘expandable books’…. you name it.

The main point is that they are fun to make, fun to complete and fun to play with.

Think, “Open and shut them, open and shut them”. 

 The flower is made using the bottom of a coffee cup and alcohol inks, then coated with Glossy Accents.

 The explosion begins!

A little ‘behind the scenes’ action:). FYI: The front and back covers are made from beer coasters, covered in paper:)

There are so many elements to this card. The beautiful green card is from DCWV ‘Taj Mahal’ stack.

I love this graphic card. It is framed with photo corners by EK Success Laura Ashley and teeny, tiny bling stickers. A little strip of gossamer ribbon drapes the image like a canopy.

Bridal Shower Card

Ingredients: EK Pink rose cardstock, Avery white Half-fold heavyweight textured card stock 51/2 x 8 1/2 in., silver diamond amscan card stock (interior), me & my Big ideas wedding stickers, Jolee’s boutique dimensional stickers, silver mesh, pink flower adhesive ribbon, red stick on rhinestones, rub on stitches.

The flower at the bottom was punched out from a Painting brochure I picked up from Home Depot. I applied clear liquid emboss and applied clear rhinestone.

Card interior: I really loved the creamy silver diamond paper against the off-white textured card stock. I attached the green heart to the larger pink heart 🙂
